Tuesday in New York City, Samsung threw a gala event to herald the coming of their first true foray into the realm of smart phones, and BrainLazy was there. At a party with an open bar, live music, fine dining, a rooftop lounge, and all manner of other top tier elements, the Galaxy S Series of phones still managed to steal the spotlight. Samsung Galaxy S coming to FIVE carriers in US

It would seem Samsung is pushing MEGA hard with it's Galaxy S. Samsung just announced they are going to AT&T, T-mobile, Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular.
On AT&T it's called the Captivate, T-mobile = Vibrant, Sprint = Epic 4G, Verizon - Fascinate, and no fancy name for US Cellular. Look inside for pics as we get them.
Samsung's opening salvo is going to be fierce. This is a concentrated launch into showing Apple what Smartphones are all about. It's going to be a fun ride.

iPhone 4 vs. Samsung Galaxy S

I saw Engadget try to compare the screens of Apple's "Retina Display" in the iPhone 4 against Super AMOLED on the Samsung Galaxy S. However, trying to showcase a new display technology via an old display technology is kind of silly.
I mean, looking at pictures of a Super AMOLED screen on your LCD can't convey the difference. So I thought I would visually show the difference in terms of money. Check out the real comparison and a detailed graph inside.

For some reason or another I've become amazingly fascinated with this new smart phone coming from Samsung. I've already pre-ordered the device from the UK even though it might be showing up in the US sooner, rather than later.
