Right on the heels of their SBK X Announcement, Deep Silver dropped us a line about their new point and click adventure game dropping this Friday, Lost Horizon. The latest goodie was a taste of the game’s theme. It is a smooth, mellow tune that wouldn’t be out of place against the titles of a film noir classic. And it even has actual, factual vocals! The plot is decidedly Indiana Jones-esque, complete with exotic lands, exotic women, and Nazis!
The game has 3D characters set against 2D backgrounds, sort of like the Resident Evil games of old. Unlike RE, though, these backgrounds are painted. As you can see below, they look pretty gorgeous. They have a highlight system to prevent the inevitable methodical pixel sweeps that plague the point and click genre. Sounds like a winner, and looks pretty interesting to us!
The game will be available for digital download this friday for $19.99. Check out the screens below and, if you like what you see, give the game a try!
