Well, that didn’t take long. I’ve been following the project earlier this week and thought that @diablo3dev was still a good ways off. Just goes to show that a determined group of people barred from a closed beta of a highly anticipated game will work tirelessly to crack’er open. Essentially, what is going on is you would run an emulated server on your localhost or as a separate server, create a database (don’t know if it’s actually populated with anything meaningful) and skirt around Blizzard’s lock and key. As of right now, no matter what character you try to create, you’ll only have control of a Demon Hunter. Have a look at the video below to see the results:
