Verizon Xperia Play To Have Stock Gingerbread. Be Still My Heart!

Whilst I perused my Google Reader feed on the bus this morning, meandering through my Android list, lo and behold what did I see? The most joyous of joys, miracles of miracles, Sony, in their continued effort to just downright astound me, will be using stock Android 2.3 for the Xperia Play. It will have a few Sony touches like the camera app and Playstation Suite but everything else will be pure buttery Google goodness.

HOT DAMN! If I couldn’t be MORE excited about this phone. Someone at Sony seems to have their wits with them. Bless this individual. BLESS HIM!
